Sue, The text box that makes up Notepad is limited to 64k of data in older versions of windows, Win95/98 specifically. It's probably that way in ME as well, but I pitty any user of that system. I know in WinXP and am assuming it's true in 2000, that text boxes and thus notepad no longer have this annoying little limit.
