I use AVG as well and am having no problems.
I also use Spybot.  I do not hav Spybot running, but AVG runs always.
I also use WE 5.5 which is not running when I use K1000.  I have two machines, 
as I may have said before, one running Home and the other running Pro.  1 Gig 
memory on each system.
