Hi Jim, I think that Open Book users have troubles all their own.Actually, I really really liked Kurzweil 1000 until this version. Is this the first version of K1000 that you have ever used? I only ask, because in my moments of most frustration, I consider going back to using version 9 which didn't massacre rtf documents created any otherwhere than Kurzweil. If this is your first version, well, we can hope for fixes, right?We just keep on plugging away, and creating unchurchy words. Nick gave me some steps to try to retrieve it. They were a little involved but I finally got it done, but it's not very usable after you get it back. A number of pages were damaged and would have to be redone. It would almost be faster to do it over again, but I don't know about your 600 page book. That would be enough to make a grown man cry.
