I too think this is a great project. I'll be happy to work on any that need picture descriptions, though I will be on vacation over the next couple weeks so can't do much till I get back.
I don't think the manuals are online as the Boy Scouts are pretty good at protecting their copyrights.

The booklets are smaller page sizes than most regular books so there is less text involved. I will be doing my own validation before submitting them so they will be very clean.We are all rather excited about this young man's project. It will have far greater impact than most Eagle projects.I understand that another scout has done his Eagle project by submitting books to Bookshare. However, this is the first time the meritbadge bookletshave been submitted to Bookshare other than the one I submitted myself a few months ago.To tell the truth, I had to go through a good deal of effort to get this approved by the Boy Scout national office. I was rather surprised at the resistance I found.
