I happened to read this book. It's excellent--very readable and personal. It's not only an engrossing story of a young lady but tells a lot about Somalia--who knew there were clans and a strong nomadic life still. The past couple of days there were two articles in the L.A. Times about what's going on now in Somalia, and I felt as if I knew the people involved personally. It's also fairly short--even with notes and indices, it's only 187 pages--and, as I said, very readable.
