Hi Cindy, I believe that Bookshare wants to become a *global* provider of books for all blind and visually impaired people around the world, and they are certainly working toward that goal, but every country has different copyright laws, and most publishers are rather skeptical about the concept (although there are exceptions). It's a long, tough road, but Jim is valiant. I only hope that his vision is realized sooner rather than later. Carrie Cindy <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: Interesting aricle, Shelley. In the article CEO Fruchterman says "Carter has the vision, experience, and can-do > attitude necessary to > accomplish Benetech's goals in *global* literacy." (Emphasis mine). Does that mean that soon people from other countries will be able to have access to bookshare,or did Jim mis-speak? Cindy __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
