I used to be a chess player. At one time I was known in my area as one of the best casual players and one of the worse tournament players. I am not sure I count because I have not been into itfor quite some time. Before I became blind I was drifting away from it a bitanyway. Then when I became blind -- almost twenty-three years ago now -- I gave it up because at the time I thought it was one of those things that blind people could not do. By the time I found out that blind people play chess all the time I had drifted far enough away that I never made the effort to get back into it. _ _ _ "Freedom is always the freedom of dissenters." - Rosa Luxemburg Follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/rogerbailey81 The Militant: http://www.themilitant.com Pathfinder Press: http://www.pathfinderpress.com Granma International: http://www.granma.cu/ingles/index.html----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Rains" <scottr@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2011 3:12 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Bookshare Volunteers and "The Game of Kings">Quick request: Would all chess fans on this list pleaase identify themselvees to me on or off-list?Scott Rains Scottr@xxxxxxxxxxxx N²rys²¶ujT¶²vºz²y²®¶Âºn?Êzz²yS¢j¶½irj¦.-S.¶¹rTo unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxput the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
