Hi,

I wrote to the group a couple of weeks ago regarding a
box of books that was left with me by one of my
friends. My friend is moving back to the U.K. and he
didn't have room for these books in his shipping, so
he left with me after I told him about Bookshare.
Unfortunately I do not have a scanner, so I am unable
to submit these books myself (or I would!). I wondered
if anyone out there would be interested in scanning
any of these books. He said he doesn't care if they
are destroyed in the process, so they can have the
covers/binding removed.

In total, he left me around 250 paperback books. Most
of them are quite old, and consist mainly of westerns,
sci-fi and other bits and pieces. I have now compiled
a list of these books which I will include in a
separate email. The list will contain some books that
are already on Bookshare - but Bookshare has them down
as 'good' or 'fair' scans - so I thought I would
include them if anyone wants to rescan them.

I'm more than happy to mail books out to interested
folks via media mail, or if anyone lives near the
D.C./Baltimore area, I can arrange to drop off any you
are interested in scanning.

Please feel free to email me at my yahoo address, or
at leaturkington@xxxxxxxxx

List to follow!!

Lea
