Hi Shelley,

There's an English translation of the Koran in the
colllection. We had an English translation of the
Koran donated to our used-book store a couple of weeks
ago. I looked through it quickly and found it a little
difficult to read, but I wasn't reading carefully.
Parts that had been published after 9/11--
translations of what had been found in the terrorists'
rooms--I found difficult to understand, too--obscure.

I checked the bookshare collection. There are 31 books
with Islam in the title. Running down the list I
found five that seemed to be good histories or
explanations, i.e., not political discussions but
explanations of the religion, its history, etc. The
synopses are good and will tell you which ones you
want--and which supposedly are Excellent and which are
not.

Cindy
