Fascinating. And I applaud you for tackling the job of learning Chinese. Any 
special reason, e.g., so you can talk to family members or you'll need it for 
something you want to do in the future. I know that tones or sounds or 
pronunciation are important in the language; I'm assuming therefore that you 
aren't deaf. smisle
