You need to upload the book you worked on if you made corrections to the
actual text. When a book gets kicked back, it becomes the original book you
downloaded for validation, not the book you uploaded after fixing any
scanning errors. This is one of those bugs which will hopefully be fixed at
some point. I know this from having this exact problem with the first book
I validated. Make sure you keep the actual book you uploaded if you made
corrections to the one you downloaded, because if it gets kicked back, you
will lose all those corrections if you just fix the copyright information
and validate the version that gets kicked back.

Good Morning
A question on books that get kicked back for copyright verification. A book
get kicked back. The validator or another bookshare volunteer goes ahead
and cross checks the copyright information and resubmits it. Does the
validated copy of the book need to be reuploaded again or can the already
corrected file be used.
It seems that if the work was already done then it shouldn't have to be redone just for a copyright check.

Hi, Mickey.
I can't help with King of California or Our Acadia--Guess the thing to do is just to upload them and put in the comments that King shouldn't be listed under reference, if the only books considered reference are dictionaries and encyclopedias. It is, according to the library, biography and history; and what is his quesiton about Acadia.
But for Steal This Vote, According to the U.S. copyright site, the copyright holder and the date is 2005. You can put that info and this copy of the page on the contents part of the upload:
. Registration Number: TX-6-212-835 Title: Steal this vote : dirty elections and the rotten history of democracy
in America / Andrew Gumbel. Imprint: New York : Nation Books, c2005. Description: 362 p. Claimant: acAndrew Gumbel Created: 2005 Published: 5Apr05 Registered: 15Jul05 Special Codes: 1/B/L

Hi. Last night I dreamed about Bookshare. Now, on the premise that that is ridiculous, I took a bunch of textbooks to validate. But some of them I looked at had problems. Here's what I found:
Steal this Vote--last validated by Patricia Kepler--needs verification of copyright.
The King of California--last validated by Viji Dilip--Gustavo wants to know why this is a reference book. Our Arcadia--last done by Robin Mandel--He says publish--but it's still there.
