Just a housekeeper's affirmation to Debby and the list:

Melissa's change of Subject line is a good example of how to keep a relevant 
thread going. Adjusting the the title specified the content well.

We can all use this technique when we need to signal that a thread's original 
topic has either drifted or sharpened focus.

I have used Word's bookmark feature in proofing books before without any
problems. I've also put [begin], that is begin in brackets, to mark my
place, which I simply delete when beginning the proofing session. I also
use the marker [qqq], that is 3 qs in brackets, to mark a place where I
have a question that I'd like some eyes to look at.
