Book submitted under the .rtf section of the website. Fractions in recipes
didn't come out, sigh, but the rest of the book is excellent. read it
thorough. Did not mark it adult content, but with all its references about
blood and other anatomy. I believe it is a science book and there shouldn't
be marked adult, but it is validator discression.

Anywa here is the book jacket.

Food Pets Die For: Shocking Facts about Pet Food
Ann M. Martin

From the Book Jacket:
Ann Martin presents information that is informative, eye-opening, and
groundbreaking in exposure of the ingredients contained in many commercial
produced pet foods. While the information contained in Food Pets Die For may
appear controversial and will
likely be dismissed by some, it is well-researched information.-Shawn
Messonnier, DVM, Author, The Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats

Every veterinarian should provide copies of this book for their clients, and
everyone with
a companion dog or cat should not be without it. Good nutrition is a
cornerstone for
health and disease prevention. Ann Martin documents how this cornerstone has
been
removed by the commercial pet food industry.
-Michael W. Fox, Veterinarian & Bioethicist
Author, Eating with Conscience: The Bioethics of Food

The health of pets depends so much on what you feed them. That is why you
need to read
this eye-opener of a book.-Alfred J. Plechner, DVM, Author, Pet Allergies:
Remedies for an Epidemic

Ann Martin's exposé reveals the shocking truth about commercial pet food.
This book is a
must-read for all pet owners truly interested in the health of their
animals. -Martin Zucker, Author, The Veterinarians Guide to Natural Remedies
for Dogs

ANN N. MARTIN has been investigating the multi-billion-dollar, commercial
pet food industry since 1990. Her first edition of Food Pets Die For
(NewSage Press 1997) garnered special recognition from Project Censored,
sponsored by Sonoma State University's School of Journalism, as one of the
most important yet underreported news stories. Since then, this classic has
become a grassroots bestseller among pet owners. In this new and revised
edition, Ms. Martin continues her exposé of the unsavory ingredients used in
many commercial pet foods-including euthanized cats and dogs. She also
documents the ongoing animal experimentation funded by many major pet food
companies in the name of nutritious pet food. Ms. Martin is internationally
recognized as an authority on the commercial pet food controversy.
She also is a pet columnist for Better Nutrition magazine. Ms. Martin is a
frequent guest on U.S.
and Canadian radio and television shows to present her views on the pet food
industry. Her second
book, Protect Your Pet: More Shocking Facts, also
discusses the hazards of commercial pet foods as
well as other pet-related issues.

Topics discussed in this book include.

Toxic Substances in household products, the composition of commercial pet
food, animal experimentation in the pet food industry, regulations or lack
there of in the pet food industry. Mad Cow Disease and related illnesses
which do effect humans, cats, dogs, and other animals, Sodium Pentabarbital,
preservatives, consumer action and much much more. This book looks at the
issues globally.

stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs.
