Chris, as I understand the Bookshare policy, you can save in whatever format you wish. Now your scan will have to be validated so if you save in the Kurzweil format, only folks with Kurzweil can actually validate your book. If, on the other hand, you save your book in an RTF format, then anyone with any kind of reading product or word processor can validate it. It will have to be saved back into RTF in the end anyway, so I've begun saving my scanned books to RTF simply so more folks can have a chance to validate them, hence they theoretically get into the collection quicker. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Judd" <announcer1980@xxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, May 22, 2004 8:03 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Book submited, and a question Hey everyone! Well, I just submited my first book today, yay! It's called I Can Feel Blue On Monday. It is one of the NFB Kernel Books. My question is, if I'm scanning the book with Kurzweil, do I need to save the book in the KES format, or can I save the book in RTF format? I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks, Chris ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the Web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER!
