If someone can do it with Googlebooks or Amazon peak, and help me get anchors, I will insert proper page numbers. I've been tempted to just add in page numbers myself so I understand. Rejecting a book is never fun so it's natural for one to want to do whatever they can to fix it. But correct page numbers are important. Thanks so much for your proofreading work! I won't do that. If I can't figure out where the page numbers are with help of a sighted volunteer, I will reject it. If you can get a sighted proofer to help you identify some of the numbered pages and then fill in the missing numbers from there then that's fine, but please don't just arbitrarily choose a spot and start numbering. We'd like the book's content to be as close to the original print book as possible. If you can't access the page numbers from either the file you have or with help from another volunteer then please reject the book. You can still finish reading your copy if you like, but please don't proof and upload it with missing or incorrect page numbers. Thanks! A big advantage to this is that you can start numbering them on page one and not be bothered with Roman numerals for preliminary pages. I always have disliked page one starting any number of pages into the book. On 5/13/2013 3:06 PM, Lisa Gorden-Cushman wrote: Hi Friends, I recently checked out a very challenging book. I already turned the section breaks to page breaks, took out a url, took out a field, and did some other formatting. However, the book has no page numbers. Should I release it for a sighted proofer? Or can I simply put a page number on each page, and hope I get it right? I like the book, so I'd rather not release it. However, if it would be better done by a sighted proofer, I want it to be done properly. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Lisa
