Hmmm.It doesn't seem to work. It says Heading 1 style. Does this work for
Microsoft 2007?

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

To make a book all normal style just select all with control a and then
press control shift n.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Allison

It is out of the shadows.

The ISBN number is 9780618927227

If someone could help me create anchors, I would really appreciate it.

I have what page each chapter should start from the Table of Contents, but
that is it.

In addition, how do I make the book all normal style? It says heading level
3, heading level 1, all these headings. I have never achieved mastery of
the styles. Or will the bookshare conversion tool make it all normal style?

Thanks,

Lisa

Lisa, do you know if the printed version of the book had page numbers? If
it did, and you have the book title, and ISBN, one of us sighted volunteers
might be able to get a peek at an image of some of the printed pages in
Amazon or Google books and get their page numbers. Once you have a bunch of
the correct page numbers, from throughout the book, it makes it a lot easier
to fill in missing page numbers because you sort of have what I'd call
"anchors" for the correct page numbering. Does that make sense? it's
something I've done myself with several books I proofread that were missing
most or all of their page numbers.

That works.

However, there are chapters, which will give me a guide to where the page
numbers should be. So if I mess up, I mess up the whole book.

If there are no page numbers in the print version then add them yourself. A
big advantage to this is that you can start numbering them on page one and
not be bothered with Roman numerals for preliminary pages. I always have
disliked page one starting any number of pages into the book.

Hi Friends,

I recently checked out a very challenging book. I already turned the
section breaks to page breaks, took out a url, took out a field, and did
some other formatting. However, the book has no page numbers. Should I
release it for a sighted proofer? Or can I simply put a page number on each
page, and hope I get it right?

I like the book, so I'd rather not release it. However, if it would be
better done by a sighted proofer, I want it to be done properly.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Lisa
