Hi Netta,

If you are proofing a book and it goes back to the checkout queue because you didn't renew it on time, you don't have to actually download it again. If you get as far as "save as" you can close the browser and it will fool your computer into actually thinking you saved it, and it will show up on your my checked out books page. Then you can continue working on the copy you had been working on. I love the thought of outsmarting my computer. (smile)

The problem is, if you have started proof reading, and it is back on the
check out list, all of your progress is erased, unless you have a copy of
the book saved somewhere.

Haven't done a thing about renewing it yet. It is a book I became uncertain
about proofreading so the fact that it released itself may mean that I am
not meant to proofread this one.
But you should be able to find the books back on the checkout list and check
them out again?

So, how did you renew your book then, Lori? I also looked in the My Checked
Out books and renew was not listed there as it used to be. I'd rather not
have someone else get my books, if that can be prevented. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Susan

I had a book which needed to be renewed today; however, I did not get a
renewal notice, just the notice that said my book had expired. This same
thing happened to my husband several weeks ago, so I guess we can't count on
receiving the notice.

Hi Everyone,

I have two books checked out which will need to be renewed on August 31.
Will I receive a renewal notice/ If so, when? Thanks.

Susan
