Thanks for clarifying.  Guess I haven't usually saved from K1000 to rtf.
I've just left the file in kes format when uploading.

Hi, Charlene.

Kurzweil has a bad habit of adding blank pages to .rtf documents when it

opens. So there are sometimes lots of blank pages that need to be
removed by 
hand.

The blank pages that are intentionally left in a book should be kept.

The way to get around the Kurzweil bug is to save the .rtf file in
Kurzweil, 
and work from that until the final save, then save it in .rtf.
