Reggie, If you have OpenBook 7 it should automatically put in page breaks. I forget the OpenBook specific command to read the status bar, but you can try Insert+page down which is the JAWS command. (The reason i've forgotten is I know have JAWS as my reader within OpenBook). The status bar will tell you where you are at in a document, it will give me the line number your cursor is on the page and it will giee you the page out of how many pages there are. As for Word putting in page breaks. When working in Word using RTF or the Word format, you can do a few things. You can hit control+page down to put your cursor at the top of the next page. If the tops of these pages are the tops of the book pages then Word has page breaks shown properly. Additionally I believe if you are in Print Layout that JAWS will speak new page when Word moves to the next page. To increase the length of Word pages: 1. Go into Page Setup under the file menu (Alt+F, U) 2. Control tab until the Paper tab appears. (on my version it's the second one) 3. Tab until you find the height edit box (on mine that's the third tab) 4. Put the highest value possible into this box, which is 22 5. Hit enter or tab to the OK button and press the space bar to save your settings. Hope this helps, Jake ----- Original Message ----- From: "Reggie & Lonnie" <regandlon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, January 08, 2005 7:06 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Battlestar Galactica > Explain to me how to tell in Word that there are page breaks.
