Hi Bob and everyone!

When I find a back cover at the end of a book I just finished proofreading, I also move it to the front so that it is before the book is opened. That way, the reader is not going to read the description of what the book is about after the reading of the book is finished. When I scan, I do the same thing. I scan the dust jacket or front and back cover, (whatever the book has) before I open the book to start scanning it. That is the way I have looked at new books I have bought or what people read to me if I am in a bookstore or booksale.

If that is the case, then I move the pages to the front of the book and put a notation of "[from the back flap]" and don't number them.

Hi Susan,

Yes, it does seem that it would be changing the book. They are not a part of the story.

Happy proofing to you as well!

I never number mine Sue! Wouldnâ??t it be changing the book if we numbered them? Happy proofing!

Hi All,

I canâ??t find anything on this in the manual, so I will ask here. In the back of the book I am proofing, there are pages advertising other books in the series. They are not numbered, and I am wondering if I should just leave them unnumbered.
