I usually do write page numbers on preceding pages when chapter one starts with a number other than 1. I count backwards and put the numbers on, just so people won't be confused. It is not required, though. If I'm too lazy, though, I put in the synopsis that the body of the book begins with page whatever. But that's just me. I'm one of the obssessed ones. grin Cindy --- Gary Petraccaro <garyp130@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Well, I guess I should ask whether I needlessly > complicated things by not writing page numbers in > those first unnumbered pages? > If I did, I'm sorry about that. > I sure hope we get a complete manual soon and I hope > even more that I actually read it. <grin> > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Mayrie ReNae > To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Friday, January 02, 2009 8:52 AM > Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: BIG MUTT > > > Hi Gail, > > You need to keep the proper page numbering as > printed in the book. > If you change it, then anyone using the book for > reference won't be able to > access the proper pages.
