Bitterly bitterly cold here in MN--today the high was supposed to be 0.
Tonight it's way below and windy besides. It was so bad that I took a cab
home from the university today, and I haven't taken a cab in at least a
couple of years. Airplanes engines and car motors have that weird sound they
get in extreme cold, and we don't have much snow but the fine covering we
have is squeaking loud and clear. Brrrrrr! My hands are too cold to type
anymore...
