Attention validators, Yesturday I submitted two terrific books on arctic exploration, both by Roland Huntford, a British historian, and one of the pre-eminent writers on this topic. The two books are: Shackleton, by Roland Huntford, 1985/2002, RTF format. A thorough and scintilating biography of Sir Ernest Shackleton. The Lawst Place on Earth, Roland Huntford, 1975/1999, RTF format. Perhaps the best book ever written on the race for the South Pole. Huntford's books was revolutionary when it came out, and is still the standard against which other books on the subject are measured. Huntford has a particular argument to make, and he makes it well. Both books are fairly lengthy, but very readable and engaging. Brian Miller
