Hi Ilene,

Try asking "Aunt Book." She's a real children's librarian who is very knowledgeable about children's books published in the last 100 years (and knows a lot about books that are even older). Her website is www.auntbook.com or you can email her at auntbook@xxxxxxxxxxxx and ask about this book.

Here's what she says to include: "Please give Aunt Book as much information about the book as you can remember: characters? plot? scenes? lines? illustrations? appearance? country in which you read it? The more information that you can provide, the more likely it is that Aunt Book will be able to help. Even the smallest, most seemingly-insignificant detail can help. Do not fear to be verbose! Eschew brevity! (Aunt Book, by the way, will be correcting your spelling and punctuation as necessary. Be kind, and refrain from making this task burdensome). Please bear in mind that Aunt Book is much more familiar with children's books than with "young adult" books (especially recent young adult books)."

Good luck!

Judy s.

Hi,

I'm trying to think of the name of a children's book, and if i find it i'll scan if it's not already in the collection.

This book had several children in it, the youngest being Bonny or Nonnie. There are also Emmy, Althea, Chris, and i think Debby. In one chapter Bonny is too little to skate with the other kids so they put her in a chair and carry her over the ice. In another episode all the kids go hunting for arrowheads, the winner to get a prize, and Bonny is saved from a snake by older sister Althea. I think Bonny is about four in this book.

Ting any bells?

Regards,

Ilene
