Monica,
You shouldn't count on the BookShare system stripping out tab characters. We
hope someday to get the system to at least insert a space in lieu of that
character so it doesn't inadvertently run words together. Likewise we would
hope the entire collection would be rerun through the upgraded tools...so
your book would be messy again.

Elizabeth, thanks for the feedback. As is sometimes the case, the book
sounds fine with speech but probably doesn't look right in Braille. I had
done a rank spelling and read the book all the way through. Won't the
Bookshare software strip out the extra tab characters? I'm not sure why
my speech isn't announcing them as I read.
