I understand why the pages do not match. I am only pointing out that you
will not be able to use your print copy to figure out page numbering issues.

Oh my. As usual I used too many words to explain not enough. The pages etc didn't match because the book used for scanning was the large print edition and the one I got from the library was small print so they have different amounts of text on the pages. The book I found on Amazon matched the one that was scanned and cost 75 cents plus postage.
What I really need is to ship you across several states to teach me to scan, or to go to scanning school since manuals just make me crazy and give me visions of electronics being flattened by sledge hammers.
