Jim/Cindy, I wasn't thorough enough. Agatha skips from 114 to 127. Then 127-128 are fine. It then goes to 117, reads to 126. Then repeats 127-128. I think it's the fault of the book. So, in fact, I only need 115-116.

Jim & Mickey,

My branch supposedly has both books, Echo and Agatha,
on the shelf, and I'm going in on Monday and can get
them, unless you want to, Jim.

I'm a little confused now, though, Jim. Is Mickey
right that the book is missing pages 115-125? It's
possible that the book itself has those pages missing,
in which case it would be better if I got it;
hopefully mine would be intact.

One book I borrowed from the library to read was
missing about 10 pages from the prologue. The other
libraries to which I had access didn't have the book.
Fortunately, the copy that had been scanned had them
and the scanner was able to send me the missing pages
so I could find out what had occurred. Another
paperback I borrowed to use to scan missing pages had
several sections totally detached. Fortunately, they
were present-- just detached -- and in the scanning,
more pages loosened and detached. I mentioned it to
the librarian when I returned the book, and I think
they were going to pull it. In my day, we repaired
books, but they don't seem to do that any more, and
it's too bad, because they don't replace them, either,
it seems.

Mickey,

I have just recheck the book and you are correct
there is a mistake.
However, 115 and 116 are the incorrect pages. I
would send you the
correct pages, except the book was returned
yesterday .
I apologize for missing the mistake on the first
check. I did not realize
that the trouble began on page 115, it is page 126
and page 116 is really
page 127. From there on the pages should be
correct.

I can probably get the book again on Monday, but if
Cindy can pick it up
before that let me know.
Please forgive me for all my mistakes and sins.

Jim
