Hi Nimit,

Yes, quick search works, but now so does advanced search. I don’t know how this
happened, but my language preference was set on Arab!!!! Good one! So now I am
set on US English and all is well. Thanks for your ideas.

Sue S.

Hi, Sue,
I just logged on to the site and was able to perform the advanced search
function. I don't know the fix for it, but are you sure that whatever you are
searching for exists in the bookshare site? Have you tried to do a quick
search and see if it comes up? Just some ideas... I logged on an iPad but I
don't think that should make any difference. I have not tried on the computer
as I am not around one at this moment. I don't think that should make any
difference though. I am able to perform couple advanced searches, actually.
Good luck,
Nimit

  Hi Misha,

Oh yes, I am logged in when I search. And yes, I have tried different items
to search, titles I know are there and authors I know are there. And no, I
haven’t switched browsers. But thanks, I appreciate these ideas. I also looked
at my account preferences and everything seems to be okay there.

  Hi,

  Just a couple questions ...

Are you logged in. Sometimes search acts differently when logged in and not.

Have you tried different kinds of search, author, title, something else? Does
the problem occur for all searches or just some?

Did you recently update or switch browsers? Sometimes the web site
programmers miss a problem that is specific to a particular browser.

Otherwise, advanced search is working fine for me so I, personally, can't
give much specific help.

    Hello all,

All is quiet on the Western front. (smile) I am unable to use the advanced
search function for some reason. I get an error message saying no match was
found. This has just happened recently and I am wondering if anyone else is
having this problem. I don’t like the quick search because you get too many
results.

    Thanks,

    Sue S.
