Hello Cindy,

Yes after uploading a validated book the system does do a rating. It's a
suggested rating and if you feel it should be changed you can. I haven't
uploaded a validated book yet that didn't have an excellent rating.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Accepted & uploaded Out of Body

I uploaded Out of Body this evening and noticed that
the automatic quality rater rates the books when it's
been validated--or does it? That doesn't make any
sense. It was definitely only Fair (or poor) when it
was submitted, so I can't believe that it was rated
Excellent at that point. But how, after it's "browsed"
and accepted, is it seen before the second page is
complete? And yet the rating on the second page was
Excellent, and the Adult quality showed a percentage
of profanity, sexual or violent words and--I think it
was .46%--and that it should not be rated Adult. After
recent discussions here I did not rate it adult--I
didn't think it should be anyway except perhaps for
language--and I put a warning about that in the long
synopsis.

The book falls into the mystery/thriller cataegory but
it is not a thriller nor is it a detective story nor
is it what I think of as a mystery, though that is the
best description, I guess. Perhaps the person who
submitted it can describe it. I put both a short and
long synopsis, so you can check those out.

Cindy
