Hi Monica,
From personal experience Kurzweil is the superior product in many ways,
at least for the needs I have. I own a copy of both and the only time I pull
up OB is to convert an ARK file to RTF, so that I can open the RTF in
Kurzweil. I wrote an article on why Kurzweil is better than OpenBook and its
available at the following URL:

I have a couple of questions. I hope I'm not starting a debate like the Jaws versus Window Eyes thing because that's not my intent. I have had Openbook since 1991, updating it every few years or so. I have noticed that most of the people I see on here use Kurzweil. I thought I'd see a 50/50 split with Kurzweil and Openbook users. So now I'm wondering what I'm missing. Is there something that draws most of you to use Kurzweil? What prompted you to choose it as your OCR system? Thanks for any thoughts you're willing to share.
