Fellow Booksharians, today a special book was approved for the Bookshare collection. Why? Because the book was written by a family member of one of our own volunteers, and he is even mentioned in the dedication. The book is called Crossing Destiny's Mantle and is by Scott O. Jones. It's the debut sci fi novel from a promising new author. In the dedication he mentions Shane Christenson who is on this list. In fact, this book was Shane's first submission to Bookshare as well, and he did a great job with the scan. If you enjoy science fiction, this is a nice, fast-paced read with lots of starship action and even an alternate universe. One cool part of the book is that some of the characters have disabilities and are painted as capable, valuable people necessary to the success of the mission. I really like that. Happy reading, and thanks to Shane for providing us with a fun book to enjoy.
