Hi all,
Robert, that's the whole point of this discussion. Somebody somewhere
has been made upset, and so I suspect detailed an underling to yell at
the volunteers without considering the effect this would cause. We
don't know if it's still OK, or at least we're confused about whether
it's OK or not. Frankly, I don't see how the mission can be
accomplished without some copying of pages back and forth. However,
those of us in the East will just have to wait till Benetech staff are
at the office and they can sort all this out. Good Heavens, talk
about crying "fire!" in a crowded theater.

We're all trying to figure out some way to make life easier for
everyone without violating any copyright laws. We were going to have a
meeting about it today, but it got postponed till tomorrow. I sure
can't think of any pleasant way around this impasse, but maybe someone
else at work can suggest something. That's why you haven't heard
anything from us.

Either way makes more work for Carrie because she has to approve the
rejection for the "hold for missing pages" submission, too.
But I've yet to see anymore from Bookshare staff on this topic so I
don't know what's really going on with it anyway.
