Hi Marilyn,

Well, you're a wonderful mystery! It seems that every time something is wrong
with me, at least one doctor says "I've seen this before, but never like this!"
So apparently I'm created backwards or something!

That sounds great! If you can get the book, perhaps what we can do is just
determine how to number those pages in the front of the book.

Thanks so much for doing this!

Sandi

  Hi, Sandi.

Yes, it was really good to hear your voice on the call yesterday, too. And I
think you snuck in a nice compliment for me, too, which just tickled me pink!

I can get that book via Inter-Library Loan, which takes two to four days (not
counting today). You don't have to put it on hold for me, I'll just tell you
what I can figure out and you go ahead submit it like you always do.

They're still doing testing on me. I had three tests this week and I have
five tests scheduled at a lab on Saturday. I'm just a mystery!

    Hi Marilyn,

The book is A Monk in the World, and I don't know if it's available in many
libraries. My friend bought it through a religious bookstore. I scanned it,
and three people have worked on proofing it, but the last one noted a few pages
missing and rejected it. I've been able to take care of the missing pages in
the book's numbered pages, but I just didn't know what to do with the three
page numbers not accounted for in the front matter.

If you can get the book, I can submit it with a hold for you and maybe you
can renumber it. I've not run into this problem before!

Thanks, and good to hear from you! How's the anemia? Hope you're feeling
better!

It was wonderful to hear your voice yesterday on the call!

      Hi, Sandi.

I'm going to the library tomorrow, maybe I could find this book, bring it
home, and we'll work on it. I'm thinking it might be a map, it might be a
family tree/organizational chart, maybe something like that. What's the name
of the book and the author, please?

        Hi All,

I have a question about pagination of a book, and hope someone has an
idea for me.

I scanned a book (it's a religious one) that has several unnumbered
pages of front matter, and then it starts numbering with Page xi, and has
something like thirty pages of Roman numerals after that. I started numbering
with i, but there were only seven pages before xi, so it appears there are
three missing pages, though there aren't.

How do I number the front matter in this book?

        Thanks much!

        Sandi
