Hi, Debby, I grant you "warts" wouldn't make sense, but how could you tell
the word was supposed to be "hearts"? That's a brilliant catch. Oh, yes, of
course you'd know because you had the book and could make sure of it. I
don't think Jesus would worry too much about warts. Regards, Kim.

Hi everyone!

I got a good chuckle out of this one that I just came across while
proofreading a book that I had checked out.

It is J. C. Ryle's Expository Thoughts on the Gospel of Mark. There are a
lot of footnotes in the book, and one of them was commenting on when Jesus
was in Nazareth and didn't perform any mighty works there. The sentence
with the scano reads:

He was prevented by what He perceived was the state of the people's Warts.

When it should have been:

He was prevented by what He perceived was the state of the people's hearts.

I couldn't resist sharing that one.

Debby
