Oh yes, those poems are wonderful!  I read them in the early 1980's, but I 
don't know what edition.  I copied some of the poems to keep.

YAY!!! Thank you, Holly. I've wanted to see that in
the collection for a long time. The poems are the most
famous and readable, and of all kinds. I especially
like the Eugene Field poems in there and think those
of you who have children will enjoy reading them to
your children. My edition is from 1929. smile

I thought Little Orphant Annie, by James Whitcomb
Riley, was in there, but I see it isn't, at least in
my edition. It's a wonderful poem for Halloween. I
remember my fourth-grade teacher reading it to us.

For those of you interested, it's on line. I'll post a
copy on the bookshare site.
