We enjoyed the little trail too this week. Heard but did not get to see the
white-eyed vireo down there. We did get to hear and see a cerulean warbler and
a yellow-throated warbler. Nice wildflowers too.

Marilyn and I went to Mammoth Cave National Park and hiked the Echo River
Spring Loop. The park has just completed this loop, by adding a bridge over
Echo River. This is a fantastic trail designed for wheelchair users. Toward
the end of my hike I heard a birdsong I'd never heard before; the bird was
very close to me in the tree in front of me. I took photos so that I could
possibly ID the bird at home. It was a white-eyed vireo! My first!
