We stopped at Brigadoon State Nature Reserve yesterday afternoon, en route to KOS meeting at Barren River. We had a nice collection of woodland birds. Our highlight was a FOS gray-cheeked thrush, followed closely by two Swainson's for comparison purposes. Swainson's thrushes have been singing the past couple of days at Mammoth Cave; pewees have also become vocal this week. Also at Mammoth, we had cooperative cerulean warblers on the Turnhole Bend and Echo River trails today, along with a bright male FOS redstart.
