It seems like the birds have really started moving around these last two days! Today at the place where I work in northern Lexington there were several decent flocks of sparrows, including 10 + white-throated sparrows, 20 field sparrows, 10 song sparrows, 5 chipping sparrows and a swamp sparrow. Also 5+ towhees and 5 + phoebes, neither of which are around this site in the summer. I put a load of seed down to help them through these cold, wet days, and I am excited to see if any other sparrows start appearing.
