We also enjoy our birdbath and it is only a flower pot bottom. We keep it
filled year round. Even with ice in it, the sparrows will still take a cold
bath. We had so many birds such as robins, cardinals, bluejays, mocking
birds, sparrows of all kinds, dark eyed junkos, warblers, flickers, starlings,
grackles, turtle neck doves, morning doves, goldfinches and even hawks. We
have
taken pictures of all these birds and I am sure I have left out a few. Then
we made a video called Backyard Birdbath. At one time we had to put rocks
in it before the smaller birds would get into it but now they are used to it
and climb on it. There is only room for 1 or 2 robins so they stand in line
waiting to take their baths. We love watching the variety of birds this has
brought to our home.
