[birdky] Whippoorwill coming in close at night

We have a Whippoorwill that we hear every night and which has taken to coming
in close - right next to our house. It calls so loudly and is so close, I hear
it sort of taking a gulp before each of its calls. It is so loud and with our
windows open, it disrupts our sleep - but we don't mind. I wish I were hearing
another one answering it, but alas, I don't. However, as loud and as rapid and
urgent as its voice seems, here's hoping it will find a mate soon.
