Highlights included: Sept. 23 Black-necked Stilt (6) dropped in at dusk- Sinclair Unit at Peabody/ Muhlenberg Co. Sept. 24 Northern Harrier headed south- near Island 1/Carlisle Co. Golden Plover (2) - Mitchell Lake/Ballard Co. Sept. 25 Vesper Sparrow (several sparrows flew together but only positively ID'd one)- Obion, upper bottoms/Fulton Co. Peregrine Falcon (juv)- levee/Fulton Co. Sept 24 spent a lot ot time scouring Swan Lake and Wickcliffe areas for previously reported anhingas but to no avail. We did have a steady stream of Broadwings going over for a good part of the day as well as mixed thermals of TVs and black vultures. The weather was beautiful with dramatic clouds in the afternoon. Today, Sept. 25, was spent trying to bird between intermittant heavy downpours. The rain kept numbers low. Swallow numbers were good but all were flying very high and spread out. We did not find the cave swallow among the regulars.
