03 September 2011:
A brief visit to Crocker Pond (Eastern Logan County) prompted by a call from
David Roemer resulted in a "county bird" for me. I am very happy that David
called me to let me know of Baird's Sandpiper at this spot.
Observed were:
Killdeer
~25
Lesser Yellowlegs
1
Semipalmated Sandpiper
6
Least Sandpiper
27
Baird's Sandpiper
4
Pectoral Sandpiper
~5
* ~ 25 Killdeer,
* 1 Lesser Yellowlegs,
* 6 Semi-palmated Sandpiper,
* 27 Least Sandpiper,
* 4 Baird's Sandpiper, and
* ~ 5 Pectoral Sandpiper.
That concludes this report.
