MessageHi, Eileen. I have had House finches doing that also, as well as a
downy woodpecker doing the same. I have photos of the downy trying to get to
that nectar.

I wonder if any of you have ever had Purple Finches feeding at a hummingbird
feeder? I had a call yesterday from a woman that said for 2 years straight she
has had purple finches drinking from her hummer feeders.With the short beaks
they have I find that pretty strange.
