Common mergs and white-winged scoter are still on the Ohio River in
Louisville. No sighting of the long-tailed duck. Almost no birds in the
basin above the
Falls. Fast-moving river may be part of the explanation.

Sandhill cranes near Cecilia. We estimated about 650 birds.

10 common mergansers at Freeman Lake in E'town, including an adult male in
breeding plumage. A male red-breasted merg, 3 male bufflehead, mallards,
and pied-billed grebes were the only other water birds we saw there.

Three tree swallows at Freeman Lake.
