As our KEEP Lake Barkley, KY osprey nest viewers are aware, we lost all three of our on camera osprey chicks over three nights, June 11-13, almost certainly due to great horned owl predation. We have kept our camera Internet service on to date to confirm that both osprey adults are healthy and still visiting the cam nest daily and defending their nesting territory successfully, at least during the day. This accomplished, KEEP will be turning our live Internet osprey nest viewing off for the remainder of this nesting season at our KEEP web site: http://keepky.org/index.html KEEP volunteers constructed six all steel osprey platform "kits" including support pipes for KDFWR for placement at Lake Barkley this year. Thankfully, fewer ghos patrol the more mid-lake areas where the majority of our Lake Barkley, KY osprey platforms are located. Ed Ray, KEEP, Inc.
