Since Charlie brought this up, I'll go ahead and follow-up.
I too had my last hummer on October 7.  We've had a series of strong fronts
in the last couple weeks and with the lack of reports, it's safe to say the
bulk of ruby-throats are gone.  As such, anyone having any remaining
hummers should take a very close look at them for something different, and
if you can get a photo that is even better.  Some females/young of species
such as Black-chinned (which KY has only one record, a young male that
lingered into December) will not appear different from Ruby-throated at
first glance.
