Bonnie Avery and I took a quick spin to several local spots this morning. High points included: Dozens of dickcissels (last year was our first year for a big invasion of these birds. Looks like it wasn't just a one-year incident.) 5 least sandpipers at JC Jones Rd 6 solitary sandpipers Both orioles Several grasshopper sparrows A bob-white calling loudly, while sitting 30 feet in the air on an electric line Tree swallow numbers continue to increase annually Three white-crowned sparrows Enjoy this great birding weather!
