There was a lot of bird activity here, shortly before sunset, when we had a
brief brightening after a horribly wet weather day. It started to darken again
and I saw a male and female Bluebird cross the road from the woodlot-pasture.
They landed on the utility wires, then quickly disappeared, I thought into our
birch trees. It’s been a year since I got photos of one roosting in a Robin’s
nest and hoped that’s what these two were up to. So, I scoped out the surviving
Robin’s nests and almost immediately found both of them settling into this one
nest for the night - Flickr link below.
The Robins did their community service this year because, on June 2, I Flickr
posted a photo of a Mourning Dove incubating eggs on this same nest!
There was an amazing amount of activity around the feeders, this morning, even
in the pouring rain. I guess it was fowl weather...?
