We don't get out much to bird these days, but did take a short trip today to Littlepage's Pond. DeLorme P. 61, quadrant H7. A mature bald eagle was keeping an eye on things from a snag on the north side of the pond and stayed for quite a while in the morning. This pond had hunting on it a couple of years ago and the birds have just recently begun to return in appreciable numbers. Other spp. present were Canada geese, a few Am. wigeon, hooded mergansers, and mallards. Phyllis B.
