This was a hold down your scope day with gusts up to 30mph, but ~ 35 least sandpipers and 130+ F. terns helped to hold one's interest. Also, a pair of widgeons, several Bonaparte's among the ring bills, two herring gulls, 4 black vultures, flyover pipets, 75+ killdeer, and a pair of white crowned sparrows.

Two days ago I lay on my back on this shore and watched gulls, vultures, and an eagle soar up in the thermals. It was amazing to me how high the gulls would fly. They were almost out of sight. Must be their form of recreation?
